The very first thing you should do is get the latest rule book from the people that run the Bonneville meets. The Southern California Timing Association (S.C.T.A.) You can contact the S.C.T.A. at:

S.C.T.A-BNI
PO Box 10
Orosi, CA, 93647
(559) 528-6279 (office)
(559) 528-9749 (fax)

There office hours are:
9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Mon-Thurs (PST)
Also go to the land speed racing's own message board www.landracing.com.  The members on this site are extremel knowledgeable and can help you. The Bonneville 200 MPH Club is a record keeping/social club for drivers who have entered the club by breaking an existing speed record or club minimum.  The club does not get involved with rules or safety matters.   Good Luck and see you on the Salt!  The Bonneville 200 MPH Club .
